Let's meet at the Agile Tour 2016!
Laurent Bouhier and Véronique Théault will present the workshop: « The Benefits of Exploratory Testing: In Pursuit of the Lost Bug » at the Agile Tour 2016 in Aix-Marseille on December 1st at 4:30 pm and at the Agile Tour in Sophia-Antipolis on December 6th at 5:30 pm.
Exploratory testing, in many respects, represents a number of agility values: communication, transparency, rapid feedback and improvement.
The principle objective of this workshop is to help you improve product quality by learning to use and manage exploratory testing effectively in an agile environment. This practical workshop within a small group will help you understand the methodology through simple and concrete examples (serious game).
This workshop presents various issues in agile testing. It will give you the tools you need so that your project’s next exploratory testing session is a success, thereby delivering added business value. This workshop is open to everyone as all team members, including developers, can participate in exploratory testing.
Now for a brief introduction of the speakers...
With the belief that future trends towards the use of project management tools such as agility will increase, thus offering better control and software quality, Véronique Théault and Laurent Bouhier work with Acpqualife's testers to improve the testing processes used in agile projects.
Véronique Théault is also an expert in software testing in areas such as auditing, consulting and training. She has a passion for testing, one that led her to co-found the Qualife company - a company dedicated to software testing - in 2002.
Véronique also led the open source Salome Test Management Framework (TMF) project for 2 years. She gave a presentation on the topic: “Salome TMF, the Test Management Tool which Integrates Testing and Development Teams” at the OW2 annual conference as well as at the Commission Open Source in Telecom Valley.
Laurent Bouhier is an engineer with twenty years experience in computing, over 15 of them in testing. He has contributed immensely to the “Squale” (Software QUALity Enhancement - a quality measurement tool for software that improves testing and code quality) open source project. With Tom McCabe (the inventor of cyclomatic complexity) and others, he co-authored the article: "An Empirical Model for Continuous and Weighted Metric Aggregation".
For over 3 years, Laurent has been a regular speaker in both French and English at "Agile" events. He won the award for Best Presentation at the 2016 JFTL (Journée Française du Test Logiciel or French Software Testing Day) competition. Agility and software testing have, therefore, become his special area of expertise - he is a coach and trainer while also being an effective tester in Scrum projects. -
Several jobs are now available for those who are passionate about software testing
Our « Tests & Qualification » department was built over 10 years ago exclusively around the software testing business.
At Acpqualife, software testing is, above all, a passion – whether it be it in designing testing methodologies, best practices or testing tools.
Because of dedicated work by our teams, testing activity within Acpqualife is primarily for major-account customers at all of our agencies: Aix-en-Provence, Sophia-Antipolis, Toulouse, Paris and Lille.
Thus, Acpqualife has acquired genuine expertise in the software qualification business as well as in the training and coaching of testing teams.
This expertise is recognized in business areas related to contingency planning, banking/finance, industry, services and transport, as well as internationally.
If you are passionate about software testing, have a technical background and are looking for an opportunity in Southern France - then check out our job offers!

The First Application Security Conference was Held on 24 May 2016 in Sophia-Antipolis
On Tuesday, May 24th, 2016 at 6 pm, in Sophia-Antipolis, acpqualife held its first conference on the topic of "Application Security".
The title of the conference was: Why Include Safety in your Software Development Lifecycle?
In this day and age, application security is everyone's concern. It also needs to be taken into consideration during the development phase.
This conference would not have been possible without the expertise and feedback of our consultant, Jérémy MATOS, presenter at this first conference to our customers and partners.
We would like to thank all those who responded to our invitation and who have shown their interest in the topic.
Due to the success of this first effort, our teams are planning a second conference scheduled for the last quarter.
Thank you again for joining us on May 24, 2016! -
Laurent Bouhier Wins the Best Presentation Award at JFTL 2016
The 8th edition of the JFTL took place on April 12, 2016.
This was the biggest event yet with 897 registered participants of which 810 were in attendance.
For Acpqualife, this edition was important because we had the pleasure of presenting “The Good, the Bad and the Ugly”.
The idea behind this presentation was to show the errors that must be avoided when working in Agile mode. Based on his experience in various teams, our speaker detailed the errors to avoid, the different types of project organization and various ways to improve communication between all stakeholders in a project while sidestepping the pitfalls of bad Agility.
Many of you came to watch his presentation. It clearly met the expectations of most of you judging from the numerous visits to our stand after the presentation.
Everyone on the Acpqualife team was thrilled, especially @laurent_bouhier, when we won the award for Best JFTL 2016 Presentation.
We want to thank you all for voting for our consultant. -

Meet the Acpqualife Team at our Stand at JFTL 2016
This is the event of the year in the field of software testing, with over 850 registered participants, 36 exhibitors and 16 speakers.
For this 8th edition, the 16 conferences are centered around the theme « Optimizing the Software Testing Process ». The focus will be on current issues and the challenges surrounding the testing process.
We are pleased to announce that our colleague, Laurent Bouhier, will be the speaker at a presentation titled « The Good, the Bad and the Ugly » in the « Management and Test Processes » session. The gist of the presentation is to show the errors that must be avoided when working in agile mode. Based on his experience working with various teams, Laurent details, using the famous western as a background thread, errors to avoid and various ways to improve communication between all stakeholders in a project while dodging the pitfalls of bad agility.
We hope many of you can attend his presentation at 3.20 pm.
For a general overview of the content to be presented at JFTL, it is structured around four lines of thought which are then further developed over several sessions which take place simultaneously (one must choose...)
- « Test Management and Process » - feedback on the testing process and methodologies used in test project management.
- « Strategic, Organizational and ISD Aspects » - or how improving business processes can increase profitability, reduce costs, accelerate development (or the testing process) while increasing the quality of the final product.
- « Testing Techniques » - feedback on various techniques and testing tools, in conjunction with emerging technologies and new challenges.
- « New Technologies / New Challenges » - feedback on contextual issues related to mobile applications, cloud computing, security and embedded software.
